Cross Training...

This blog and the training schedule we're using has done great things for me this year.   I'm running more 5-8 mile runs and doing them around the 8:45-9:15/mile mark.   Last year's log shoes only three 6 mile runs, two 7 mile runs and four 8 mile runs.    I had a three 8 mile runs between 8:45 and 9:15, but most of the runs I did were @ a 10+/mile.

While I may not get the 8:15/mile or the 6-6:15 pick-ups, I have definitely stepped it up compared to last year.

Mark, are you running 26 miles on Sunday?   Impressive.   Equally impressive is Mike's pace on the 5 and 6 mile runs.
Tomorrow I run another 6 miler w/ Darren.   I hope we can finish around 9/mile.

All this being said... I did my cardio on the elliptical and lifted (2 sets) of weights.   In all honesty, I haven't lifted much and I'm getting weak (or I'm just sick).

I go to the Dr. again tomorrow to try and figure out this stuff with my lungs.   I am now thinking it might be slowing me down a little.   Let's face it, if you can't breathe... you go slower.

Have good runs this week, guys!   10 on Sunday for me.
Craig has hit the high road and hit the low road and he likes the high road  a little more...so he's taking that into the sunset...
