6.2 miles
55:39
8:58/mile
My 14th 6 mile run this year.
Today it started out at 75 and when I finished it was around 79. Tough...the heat index was only about 86, but I could tell I needed water about mile 4. Somewhere between mile 3.5 and 5 I almost felt like I needed to quit, but something strange happened...my arms and legs took over and I kept it going. I was prepared to quit at mile 4, but I kept going. I sometimes feel it is a safety mechanism our body has telling us we need to stop or slow down or we'll be sorry.
Went to the Dr. today and something clicked when he was looking at my chart. Turns out on part of my blood pressure medication can trigger this cough I have had for 5+ weeks and had for about 4-6 weeks back in Feb/Mar. With my BP at 106/68 this morning, he has given me a new prescription without the "cough triggering" ingredient and feels that will take care of it. Just in case, he gave me an X-ray order I can use within the next two weeks if it doesn't get any better.
I told him I have coughed up every color between clear and neon green, but nothing red and so I wasn't too concerned. Hopefully this will take care of it.
Craig is outta here like the Dallas Cowboys leaving Oakland after a big Ass Whoopin!
