Sat- Day of rest, but did some more core work at the hotel.
Sun- Thought about running in the morning, but too tired and not knowing where I was going and no internet kept me in bed, but after driving the 6 hrs from INDY, I got home and ran 3 miles in the 90ยบ heat w/ high humidity. I haven't run in that hot, humid weather in a long time. I could not cool down afterward and I dripped even after a cool shower. These were the first miles after 16. I did not time myself, but felt they were between 9:30-10/mile.
Monday I intended to run 5 miles, but took another day of rest due to a busy schedule of getting things done before going back to work pretty much full time starting this week.
Mike...damn good pace. You floor me with your great paces in the heat of FL.
Mark sounds like you are ready to hit it hard again and I definitely hear you on the "creaky" body syndrome in the mornings.
It was good to see you two posting and doing something while I basically did nothing for 4 days. I hate to take more than 2 days in a row off, so it was very important to me to get those 3 miles in on Sunday even though I was tired from the long trip.
My health is still a little bit of an issue with my lung and sinuses. Lungs are entering their 4th week and today I got done with my antibiotic so hopefully it did the trick. Neither seems to be affecting my running believe it or not, I just want to be done with the illness and feel good and healthy again.
Mike says the thought of 26.2 is daunting. It is, but you have to remember you may not do an 8:55 pace on such a long race. 5 easy miles tomorrow w/ Darren. Tired tonight, but ready to run early in the AM to beat the weather .
Craig's feeling it and I mean "ready to get back" one more time.
