Last week I didn't like my fuel belt water bottles. Just didn't feel right. So I bought a new CamelBack. It was ok. I didn't love it. The tubing was a little funny... so a bit after I got going I had to stop to get all that figured out. I think my time would have been just a teensy bit better if I had figured all that out before I got going.
That being said, this six miles felt MUCH better than last week's four. I did a little more warm-up as suggested by Mike and maybe that helped. All I know is that everything went better than last week. The pace was similar to last week and coincidentally, the pace at which I did most of my marathon training.
