BTW, thanks for your thoughts and support during the marathon. I really appreciate that you followed my progress. One other key learning point from the run: give yourself enough time to hit the porta-potty before the run. I didn't and cost myself a minute or two at mile 15 or 16.
Guys, I don't know if you have half marathon times, but if you do, I'd suggest signing up for a starting corral, as opposed to the open start. Doing so, puts you with better runners and eliminates some of the weaving that you have to do to avoid slower runners. I did a similar thing for San Francisco, but still found some idiots who must have lied about their target times and were walking by mile 3. I don't know why it bothers me so much, but I wish people would just be honest about where they line up for a race. It's tremendously inconsiderate. Enough whining . . . I'm off to do the run.
