I checked the weather before I left just before 6 AM. 77 degrees. 95% humidity. Actually didn't feel too bad. I felt sluggish when I started, and I ran the first mile to mile and a half at 9:30 to 10:00/ mile. I even got up well before that and stretched, etc. Still couldn't get going. But I didn't worry too much about it. I took 16 oz of G2 (lemon/lime) and some Power Bar Gel Blasts (Cola with caffeine). I ate one gel ever 30 min or so, and I'd finished the G2 by mile 7-8.
At the turn around I was between 47-48 min. I felt good, so I picked up the pace a bit. Looks like I was cruising because I made up a lot of time on the way back.
I think I need new shoes as my feet and knees were a wee bit sore by the end of the run. Then ate a little and went to surf tiny waves.
Not a bad morning.
